yesterday we went to a bank to “send warmth” to somebody in southeast asia, but found in despair that they don't accept donation money with a biz account (too bad i failed the tsunami test). coming back to the residential building we live in, we found that somebody else want to “send warmth”to us.
the realty mgt firm notifies that they will “send warmth to you in the new year as a response to your support to our work in the past year”. god knows, we didn't support their work! because they didn't work so we didn't know what to support!
but let's see what “warmth”they are going to send us: 2 free tickets of foot massage.
this sounds great, our cold feet need “warmth”, usually i have two wool socks in my feet to keep them warm during shanghai's bleak winter seasons.
another notice says the residential committee will organize donations to victims of southeast asia, but my wife doesn't trust them. so we will just try the china red cross again using a personal account.
i am looking forward to the foot massage! hopefully this won't become the only work they do for year 2005!
update: unfortunately we didn't get the free tickets, all of them were distributed within hours.
