yesterday morning i browsed some biz news as usual and found this from soufun.com (a real estatte portal) :

"Hua Wei, you are just a sales lady if your jacket of "expert" were taken off", with a cartoon as below

Dr. Hua, a professor from shanghai's fudan university, leads a research institute on real estate and he often makes comments about the real estatte market of china. with a soaring property price, many people are getting angry with those developers and any experts who say the market will continue to boom and keep the price going upward.

with such a strong sentiment and the help of an UNREGULATED WEB, now we have many shits like this "report" full of name calling and rumors and unfounded accusations, on top of the news stories of a national web site. in this report, Dr. Hua was accused being involved in property speculation, with as many as "dozen" houses at hand, and making loud noises about a booming market in order to seek profits for himself.

due to business contacts, i know Dr. Hua well and he just bought a small apartment near the campus and live with his wife there. the "dozen houses speculation" accusation help some people vent their fury and, will probably ruin one's career, all these nasty rumors won't become possible without the wonderful unregulated web in china.

back to the topic, recently many readers raised their concerns as whether my blog needs to be registered, some thought teahouse was "cracked down" and some hoeped to interview me on this issue. here is my thoughts:

- i think only those blogs with their own domain names need a registration, mine not included;

- i don't know what's behind the decision to register blogs, if it's about to regulate the web to get a few self-disciplines, that is not a bad idea, if it's not, mostly it will fail;

- in my opinion, the decision is more driven by concerns on the rampant "wild west" phenomenon on chinese webs, paranoid unnecessary
