while some people feel disappointed, i am glad that Xu finally leaves.

Xu is too idealistic and was molding a newspaper that doesn't reflect the real world in china but only reflect an imaginary one through his own eyes, and this is dangerous. the government doesn't have a lot of experiences as what comes on top of the priority list, therefore issues raised by influential media become important references. in many cases, emotional appeal set the tone of the e-observer and issues less pressing but make people excited covers a large part of the newspaper and attract eyes of Hu and Wen.
