"what if japan invades the east sea oil fields? can china win the war?"
"should china intervene when the US invade north korea?"
"china has the weapons that will make taiwan separatist frighten!"
these are the highlighted article titles of some magazines displayed in a small bookstore in the shanghai hongqiao airport. one corner of the bookstore is dedicated to these so-called "military magazine", most of which use sensationalized contents to attract readers. i don't blame those publishers who have no clue as how to create interesting stuff for bored travellers, in japanese airport you got magazines with nude highschool student photos and in hongkong airport you got inside stories of chinese politburo.

the largest section of the store is business, and books about health fellow as the second largest section.
i found iced crabs appear in the airport store and asked my wife if she want me to bring some for her to start the "crab season", she said that the "crab season" already started two days before when she bought four crabs to eat.

i hope the love for life (such as the delicious crabs) will overtake the emotions agitated by those "military magazines", and eventually those war fantasies only exist in their two-hour or so voyages.
