i add a few new blogs i found recently on the right side, most of which are hosted by celebrities at sina dot com. you might notice that i put a label besides the Xu Jing Lei blog - "my idol". yeah, she is the "idol" i worship now.
i am too young to worship Mao, but too old to worship Super Voice girls. it's hard for me to comprehend the old generations who got crazy to see Mao at the TAM square, and it's equally incomprehensible that people could fall in love with Super Voice girls in just a few weeks. i used to worship several chinese writers, later i gave up these "idols" for what they did in cultural revolution were not consistent with my criteria for an "idol". tehn i started to worship foreign writers, there wasn't culture revolution outside china, right? but unfortunately i gave up again after i read a book named "intellectuals". it's quite a tough job for me to continue worshiping writers who beat their wives, indulge in alcohol, evade taxes, even some more abnormal behaviors.

then movie stars come to my eyes. Ning Jing, a chinese movie star who was active in early 1990s, became my "idol". the worship ended when she fell in love with a young american actor, who was shooting a film together with Ning Jing in tibet. they went to tibet and shot the film, then suddenly the young american fell in love with Ning Jing, and she agreed to marry him immediately! i was shocked and the image of my "idol" collapsed.

the divorce rate is so high in china that some suggest to launch "3 marriages" in one's life - one for pure love, one for middle aged couples, and one for retirement. unlike the young guys who accept and practice "blitze marriage" (i.e. fall in "love" in 1 day and got marry in 3 days), i still hope my "relationship" with my "idol" is cultivated through understanding and will last. but anyway, i'm prepared to give up and find new "idols" any time if my "idol" disappoints me.
