A truely blessing to the Tibetan people

i have been to some of the poorest regions of china before. these regions face a lot of challenges that hinder their development, and the backward traffic infrastructure, according to my conversations with many locals, is always on the top of their priority list.

for example, this shanbei family i visited would be much more well off if they could ship their shanbei apples out of the region more time efficiently. i left there with train and the capacity of the train from shanxi to xi'an was just shamefully low.

unlike the relatively richer coastal regions, the underdeveloped could benefit a lot from such infrastructures, although they might harm the environment and, in tibetan case, the local cultural heritage. overall, it's a blessing to the local people and i hope this great project could promote the social and economic progress in tibet.
