在整理看过的书时，我发现了一张买书时书店给包好的简易书皮，上面印的是一则公益广告。这是日本烟草公司（JT）今年夏天时候发布的宣传广告，呼吁吸烟人的公德意识，在各种媒体播放过，而我的书皮上是日英对照版，我很想留下这些文字，于是post到这里。长是长了点,权做学习英语了，有兴趣的人慢慢看过好了。:)
我以为这应该说是一则很成功的文案和创意。我们常见的有公益性质的广告，如"不要这样那样"、"这样那样的话会多么不好"etc，更多的是对行为自身的非难和指责，很少有对行为者自身付诸的期待。而这则系列广告以"マナーの気付き"（对礼节的一点点留意）为题，一共列举了37条manners，没有说教，但过目难忘。
1.たばこを持つ手は、子供の顔の高さだった。
A lit cigarette is carried at the height of a child's face.
2.吸いがらを排水溝に捨てた。というか隠した。
I threw my cigarette butt into the drain.That is to say, I hid it in the drain.
3.煙の幅は、体の幅よりぜったい広い。
Cigarette smoke is wider than a human body.
4.夏。たばことすれいがう腕は、裸だ。
In summertime, the arms that pass near my lit cigarette are bare.
5.水たまりの吸いがらは、ふやけて百のゴミになる。
A cigarette butt tossed in a puddle absorbs water and becomes hundreds of pieces of trash.
6.体はよけた。それでも煙はぶつかった。
I moved to avold him.But my smoke didn't.
7.700度の火を持って、私は人とすれちがっている。
I carry a 700℃ fire in my hand with people walking all around me.
8.日本一、目につくゴミは、吸いがらかも。
Probably the kind of litter I see most often in Japan is cigarette butts.
9.ケータイ灰皿。持ってればよかったと、捨てる時だけ、よく思う。
Portable ashtrays.They're so handy.I always think that when I'm searching for a place to get rid of my cigarette butt.
10.人ごみって言うけれど、何人からが人ごみなんだろう。
...don't smoke in a crowd...but how many people does it ake to make a crowd?
11.私に手を振る人がいた。煙を払う仕草だった。
A person was waving at me. He was waving away my smoke.
12.スタンド灰皿。火を消さないで入れるのは、煙をふやす行為だ。
Stand ashtrays.Disposing of a lit cigarette in one just creates more smoke.
13.自分のたばこは、カオルもの。人のたばこは、ニオウもの。
My cigarettes smell good.Other people's smell bad.
14.ケータイ灰皿は、どんな場所でも吸っていい許可証じゃない。
A partable ashtray is not a license to smoke anywhere you please.
15.吸われて。燃えて。捨てられて。たばこじゃなければ泣いている。
Inhaled.Burned.Thrown away.If is were anything but a cigarette,it would surely be crying.
16.煙の行方。本人だけが、他人事だった。
Where does the smoke go? Only the person producing it is unconcerned.
17.火がついたまま投げ捨てる。運転中の私はこわい。
It's scary to see a flaming object thrown from a car window.
18.ポイ捨て禁止ポスター。子どもが絵筆で、大人をしかっている。
Posters saying "Don'T litter with cigarette butts" are like children scolding adults with paintbrushes.
19.犬と散歩すると、いつもより吸いがらが目につく。
The cigarette butts are always more noticeable when I'm walking my dog.
20.捨てる人は、拾わない。捨てない人が、拾っている。
Some people throw trash in the street.Other people have to clean it up.
21.人が見てたら捨てないわけで、つまりコッソリやっていたわけだ。
Would you throw that cigarette butt on the ground if people were watching you?
22.禁煙の構内を、出ながら吸った。煙は逆に入っていった。
As I was walking out from the non-smoking area, I hit a cigarette.The smoke flowed back inside.
23.待ち合せ。遅れる女性。吸いがらの山。昭和のドラマによくあった。

28.主人公がポイ捨てをした。ふるい映画だった。
The cool cowboy flicks his cigarette butt into the street.But he lives in an old movie.
29.走行中にポイ捨てをした。気分は逃走中だった。
You tossed your cigarette out the window.You looked like you were fleeing the scence of a crime.
30.オナラの時の後方確認。たばこの時は忘れてた。
Before passing gas I look behind me.But I don't bother when I'm smoking.
31.クツ底で火は消えるけど、吸いがらまでは消えない。
The fire disappears beneath his shoe.Unfortunately,the butt still remains.
32.約半歩遠ざかるのは、すれちがう人の抗議かも。
When someone walks a step away from me,maybe it's a slient complaint about the cigarette in my hand.
33.人ごみですってはいけない。人のコートはだいたい高い。
Don't smoke in a crowd.Coats are expensive.
34.モクモクと煙をはく灰皿。自分ちなら、大騒ぎだ。
Smoke is billowing from a stand ashtray.if it were my home,I wouldn't be so calm.
35.火の粉が飛んでだ。被害者が、自分でよかった･･･。
The sparks blew off. Luckily, they were stopped by my sleeve.
36.買ってでも使うケータイ電話。もらっても使わないケータイ灰皿。
A free portable ashtray is as easy to carry as a mobile phone.So why don't I use one?
37.禁煙の構内を、一歩だけ出て吸う人がいた。僕だけど。
Some people smoke one step away from a non-smoking area.Oh,I do that, too.

上述文案中，令人感慨不止的妙译可以说有很多,所以说嘛，翻译这东西真的很有意思。
有的日语原文里没有特定的人称代词，所以可以任由读者想像针对的是你／我／他／她，可翻译成英文时，就必须要确定一个人称。而日文里特有的表现和深意，翻成英文就好像是少了调料的汤。相反，日文里有些牵强或者为了广告而广告的文案，b经英语一翻，反而明快简捷又生动。换一个语言就有一种全新的韵味，再贴切的译文，也会因译者不同而呈现不同的风貌。而好的译者的好的译文，绝对也是一种再创作。看来，要达到"诚、信、雅"之所谓翻译的最高境界，也许真是穷此一生亦难悟真境呢。
