留学生活随手记

今天晚上的月亮朦朦胧胧，我不禁想起了家人，打电话回家，果然已经全家集合打算去逛庙会了，Julio和Michael把电视送到我家，还细心地帮我调好了频道，在没有申请cable之前，我就可以收到三个频道了，其中一个是Fox，所以我打算放弃申请电视Cable了，反正只是为了练英语，并不真的是为了看电视，我还是比较喜欢中国的电视剧，记得在北京时，看《青衣》、《结婚十年》。。。就常常看到深夜，现在哪有那种气氛呢，看电视也是为了练英文，everything is for practising English。我常跟同学说，我这哪里是在读博士呢，我简直是出国上英语课来了，我都快忘了我的本专业了。

对了今天还有笑话是关于英语俚语的，提醒大家鬼英文真是很多陷阱，别以为自己会几个单词就到处讲话，还有千万别发错音，所以亲爱的中小学生朋友，一定要好好学习音标啊，小心别闹笑话:)

话说一个中国girl, 正在告诉我她去了纽约哪些地方，什么central park, fifth avenu，然后她说了一句：I also went to chinatown flushing， 听完这句旁边的鬼子Michael就一脸奸笑，不怀好意地说: oh really? 然后狂笑不止，你道是为什么，原来flushing好像有一个意思是撩起上衣，so, you see. such a ....

实际上是这位同学想说的是Flashing, 这是唐人街的一个地名吧，好大的一个笑话吧。总之我也好不到哪里去，我已经被他们狂笑好多次了，已经习惯了，而且他们还振振有词：If we don't laugh, let you know you made a mistake, then you will make mistake next time..:(

 

haha. Flashing 是撩起上衣, flasher 是在公众场合撩起上衣的人 . 在一些狂欢节或者party上，有些姑娘喝完酒， 就喜欢。。。。。

嗯，挺有趣味的。身居异国他乡，外文，尤其是口语确实要下功夫学好，此乃最起码的第一步，刚开始被老外笑话这是正常现象，老外到中国来，他们学讲中国话也会出洋相的。

thank you for your encouragement. but it's really akward sometime, because most of the wrong phrase we used are related to s** or some sensitive topics here. so We should really be careful before we speak.
