More about Simple

book reading1--Games mother never taught you

Posted on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 3:04 PM #我爱读书

(This is an exercising article to practice my English writing skill, it seems very simple and dull because I am not a good writer even in my native language - Chinese. but I believe it's surely a good way.)

Though the progress is really very slow, I have finished reading 2-3 pages today. the more I read this book, the harder I felt to read it. It seems this book is from a perspective of feminist. the author traced back to the American history of equal employment opportunity for women. From the view of the author- Betty Lehan Harragan, most of the women failed their careers not because of they can't succeed, but the work environment-corporate is a game which rules are set by male dominant.

In fact, I agree that it took many efforts for women to get many rights they deserve, but I don't want to go to the extrem of treating all the male as enemy, that's why many words in this book makes me feel uncomfortable. But I still believe there are sth that I can learn from reading this book. because people can't only stick to things they love, sometimes, the things you don't like so much also can make you learn many many, right?

At least, I believe to finish reading this small book is a test to my perseverence, I hope I can insist on this and never stop without a good reason.
